Luz Tello was born in Berkeley, CA and studied at the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland, CA where she studied oil painting, silk screening, jewelry design and installation art before moving to New York to attend School of Visual Arts. After earning her BFA in Computer Art from SVA, she worked as a Graphic Designer in the apparel industry.
In this position, she designed and developed digital and print advertising campaigns and collateral. It's in this role she learned about typography, concept ideation, color theory, use of texture, spacing and scale, visual presentation development and layout.
After 4 years of working in New York's famed Garment District, she decided to move back to her native Bay Area to create her own label of organic children's t-shirts which features her own art and designs.
Luz currently works as a freelance Designer, creating art for a diverse list of clients which include local architectural and construction firms, public and private schools and Event Planners.
